Job Summary

This individual supervises and supports Intake Clerks, Intake Specialists, and Senior Intake Specialists as well as any contracted individuals working within the Intake department.

Essential Functions Oversee training as needed to ensure all staff are trained to properly execute their job responsibilities Oversee the resolution of all orders, tasks, faxes and tickets necessary to adhere to service standards set for the department Direct work flow to ensure timely completion of period and quarter closes Perform quality review, and provide coaching to drive improvement and continued success of the department Identify areas of opportunity to improve processes along with aiding in the implementation of those changes Work with management, Intake Seniors, Intake Specialists and contractors in order to meet goals within shift requirements Resolve escalations from Senior field sales in a timely fashion Deliver reimbursement support to sales regions as requested Conduct annual performance appraisals as well as monthly 1:1 scorecard meetings with staff Participate in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring process for new Intake staff including requisition submission, new hire setup requests and any required accompanying paperwork Manage shift scheduling, call-off, PTO and breaks to ensure proper daily coverage Provide leadership and guidance in addressing escalations from the Intake team, other internal teams, and outside sales Monitor individual performance and conduct/distribute monthly metrics to staff and management Create, update and enforce all team standards and procedures across all shifts while assisting Seniors with team meeting Work with employees to provide coaching and feedback and to address any areas for improvement up to and including development plans, preparation for disciplinary action, and Performance Improvement Plans Required/Preferred Education and Experience Associate's Degree In related field preferred or Bachelor's Degree In related field preferred A minimum of 3 years' experience with medical insurance.  required and A minimum of 1 year supervisory or lead experience.  required and Experience leading meetings and creating training documents  required and Experience coaching for both improvement and success  required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an intermediate knowledge level of Excel Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong and creative problem-solving skills and adaptability Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
