Google Technical Program Manager II, Infrastructure, Consumer Shopping in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience with SQL, automation, and software infrastructure.

  • Experience with engineering process ownership and cross-functional client management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Ability to identify and drive process efficiency improvements.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, driving projects to completion with attention to detail.

  • Ability to learn technical material, processes and applications quickly and thoroughly and develop expertise in new areas and projects.

  • Excellent organizational, project management, and written and verbal communication skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Consumer Shopping Infrastructure Programs team drives engineering velocity to enable, scale, and support the Shopping Infrastructure engineering team. Consumer Shopping Infrastructure develops reliable, efficient, easy-to-use full stack solutions encompassing all the serving and data processing infrastructure that powers organic Shopping experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Learn and build expertise in the Shopping launch process and launch tooling.

  • Exercise knowledge of the engineering requirements for launch.

  • Ensure Consumer and Merchant maintain strategic alignment.

  • Develop and evolve the Shopping Launch process through continuous improvement efforts.

  • Own the communication and documentation of the strategy, providing team and organization wide training when necessary.
