Description

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant for a contract role, located in Plainview, New York. This position is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to immerse themselves in a dynamic workplace environment and gain substantial experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency in the company's financial records.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of data and maintain the integrity of financial information.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data, enhancing the decision-making process.

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for and properly documented.

• Ensure timely completion of the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Resolve any discrepancies or issues found in accounts, using problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to the company's data privacy standards.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly.

• Stay updated with industry trends and changes in accounting laws or regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Possess advanced skills in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately

• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger and its applications

• Capable of managing Journal Entries efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in handling Month End Close processes

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
