Your role at Clorox:

Become a Sr Cost Analyst for Burt's Bees at The Clorox Company and provide strong financial leadership. You will implement cost-effective solutions to support our division's goals and contribute to our operations.

In this role, you will:

Forecast/Close Process Leadership & Internal Controls : Lead Raw & Pack and Manufacturing closes and reporting, act as the primary liason with the Logistics COE team, and lead Total Cost of Sales consolidation for the SBU. Support completion of the Manufacturing Raw & Pack Fcsts, Gap management process & development of annual standard costs. Identify insights and influence business partners in effective management of costs accounts. Deliver 100% Internal Control compliance.

Provide Finance Leadership, Reduce Waste & Drive Value : Own a full understanding of Raw & Pack and Manufacturing Cost, including relationship of Shipment & Production volume to AOH & Mfg rate impacts and FIFO accounting treatment. Interact with Plants, Finance, Planning and other Supply Chain partners related to Manufacturing, D&D, PPV, FIFO Cap, and Cost Savings. Support valuation and tracking of key Burt’s initiatives & projects with Raw & Pack and Manufacturing impacts. Drive value creation agenda through fact based analysis and business partnering. Identify & implement continuous improvement opportunities with our current processes.

Self & Team development : Drive professional development & career planning while using GPS@CLX process. Support development & use of L&D modules & CEN. Drive engagement & collaboration with SBU Finance team, Mfg COP group, and S&A Cost team. Provide training as needed.

Support Burt’s SBU priorities : Drive the financial analysis of business proposals including cost savings, ad hoc requests, and margin enhancing initiatives. Provide decision support to business partners and leadership by identifying and communicating the key assumptions, opportunities and risks of proposals.

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of finance and accounting experience

  • Preferred experience in Consumer Packaged Goods or Manufacturing industry.

  • SAP or other ERP systems experience

  • Experience in forecasting and accounting close.

  • Experience in financial and management reporting.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and curiosity skills to build forecast, develop analytical insights, and to drive actions

  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels

  • Proven interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of cost accounting and process concepts / tools/ systems

  • Excellent written & verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Ability to conduct training

  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and self-manage workload to meet deadlines

  • Skill in recognizing opportunities for improvement in execution and implementing necessary adjustments.

Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CPA a plus.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $69,600 - $127,400

–Zone B: $63,800 - $116,800

–Zone C: $58,000 - $106,100

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
