Job Description Summary

As a Chemistry Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of our analytical chemistry laboratory. You will work with advanced equipment such as GC/MS, FTIR, HPLC, AA, UV/Vis, FIA, and ICP-MS to ensure the quality and compliance of additives and chemical solutions. Your ability to interpret and act on analytical results, coupled with your technical expertise, will be essential in supporting various laboratory functions and projects. This day shift role (7am - 7pm, 3 days on and 3 days off) comes with a remarkable shift premium atop a competitive salary.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and apply techniques required for analytical testing using equipment including GC/MS, FTIR, HPLC, AA, UV/Vis, FIA, and ICP-MS.

  • Monitor production schedules and complete testing to ensure compliance with product monitoring programs.

  • Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot analytical equipment as needed.

  • Support project work by assisting in the installation and qualification of new processes in the Additive Lab.

  • Execute laboratory validations, including software, equipment, and analytical method validations.

  • Complete smaller laboratory projects, such as document revisions, equipment installations, and process updates.

  • Participate in the remediation of audit findings and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as required.

  • Conduct data analysis and prepare final reports for statistics-based inspections or special request testing.

About you:

  • Hold a B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science/engineering field

  • Have at least one year of proven experience in a chemistry laboratory, including college laboratory experience.

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.

  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Have a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining accurate records.

  • Be self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
