Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the implementation and adherence to quality standards and procedures within the organization. Leveraging specialized technical expertise, this role involves inspection, testing, and the application of quality tools to enhance project execution. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards for products, procedures, and materials.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized technical expertise to support the Quality program.

  • Conduct inspections and testing, utilizing advanced techniques to ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Generate detailed inspection reports outlining work area conditions and recommend corrective actions.

  • Apply knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards.

  • Implement principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods to enhance product safety, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Align the quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.

  • Manage a related discipline or sub-group within the function, ensuring the team achieves functional objectives.

  • Provide leadership and direction to team members, fostering a culture of quality excellence.

  • Participate in the development of functional strategy, contributing to global processes and procedures.

  • Follow the Quality Control Plan, Quality Management System, and Flow processes.

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop quality inspection checklists for processes based on the PWS, latest Technical Data Package (TDP) and Subcontractor Statement of Work (SUB SOW) requirements.

  • Analyze quality data to identify opportunities for process improvement.

  • Validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution using knowledge of quality systems and tools.

  • Prepare Nonconformities reports (NCR) and perform follow-up audits on Corrective actions (CAPAs) as per QMS.

  • Track UCO/LOTD projects ensuring compliance with documented procedures and work orders.

  • Create Audit schedules for all active sites/services as per the latest TDP and track and report the progress.

  • Validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution using knowledge of quality systems and tools

  • Assist the TOM and LOGCAP Program Quality Manager in QCP implementation. Has authority directly from the PQM for enforcement and execution of the QCP.

  • Provide the necessary support and tools to facilitate the flow of information to each level of personnel within the Quality Management department. Through use of these tools and guidance from the PQM, provide support and assistance in operating and maintaining their respective projects.

  • Act as primary liaison between KBR and customer Quality Representatives at the Project level.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of Quality Management experience. A High School Diploma and an additional 5 years of directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Requires at least 5 years of experience in a Leadership/Supervisor/Management role.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
