What you’ll do:

Supplier Quality Engineer -NPI is responsible for inspection/ approving the localization / VAVE components /sub assemblies of all projects run by NPD and sourcing team. Engineer is also responsible for supplier development for all localization / VAVE projects & conduct PPAP for all components. Engineer need to closely interact with Supplier, Sourcing and NPD for timely completion for the part qualificaiton.

"• Drive for the New development Part validation activity with Sourcing and NPD with Electrical & Electronics Parts (New Product Development)

• Responsible for Qualify the parts as per the Eaton requirements and co-ordinate with the supplier for part approval.

• Drive for developement projects planning and execution against quality requirements.

• Person Should Drive on Production Feasibility Agreement at inital stage, complete PPAP for all the parts that are qualified, PSW sign Off and Production Readiness Assesssment.

• Monthly report on the Supplier developments

• Supplier visit and audit for the process capability and establish the process capability mechanism for all Supplier.

• Driving SSA_ Supplier Site assessment Process For the all New development supplier

• Review, Monitor & Improve supplier performance

• Responsible for Internal Audit, Quality Process Audit, Gemba walk and QMS requirements.

• Conduct supplier risk assessment and mitigation plan for all New supplier and Existing supplier

• Driving trouble supplier activity to improve Supplier metrics and Performance

• Drive with suppliers to improve supplier quality, which will help reducing plant quality issues and on time completion of the project

• Drive that Quality is built into the product & process at suppliers end through deployment of Quality tools like Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC, MSA .

• Should Handle functional Quality requirement trainings to all the suppliers.

• Qualify the parts as per the Eaton requirements and co-ordinate with the suppliers for the issues raised.

• Should have Knowlegde on the critical part management.

Qualifications:

•BE / Diploma in / Mechanical / Engg

• 6+ years of experience in Supplier Quality activity and mainly in the development for the new parts and supplier

Skills:

"• Through knowledge of all the Quality tools Problem Solving, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan.

• Detailed knowledge of supplier Qualificaiton and Part qualification

• Knowledge on Mechanical commodity - Welding process, Plating and heat treatment is preferrable
