Naval Sea Systems Command SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Port Hueneme, California

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Security Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. Responsibilities You will manage the insider threat program to identify and process Insider Threat cases that personnel identify as presenting behavior which is not supportive of security practices or other behaviors that are specified in Insider Threat policy. You will develop written policy and personnel security procedures geared to be in alignment with applicable DoD, DoN, IC and local policy that maximize flexibility and is supportive of mission accomplishment. You will analyze security needs, plan and direct implementation of security measures, such as security or safety systems, and estimates costs of operation. You will participate in program and project planning efforts to evaluate the need for security requirements and recommend equipment, methods, procedures, and systems. You will develop and establishes security procedures for the command for protection of individual, group, or property. You will develop and implement specific guidelines to meet localized requirements. You will plan, schedule, coordinate, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of the operation of the security programs at NSWC PHO including detachment and off-site inspections and reviews. You will partner internally and externally with government and industry to provide coordinated services and maximize effectiveness. You will provide advice and assistance to others and maintains productive working relationships. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and overseeing compliance across various security disciplines to develop security policies and procedures, coordinate security operations, and endure adherence to security mandates for the safeguarding of security services. The work is mostly performed in an office setting and at lab sites. The work is normally sedentary, however, it will require some periods of walking, stooping, bending and climbing. From time to time you may have to lift light and moderately heavy objects. Ship and wharf inspections and visits to command buildings and test areas are required and it may be necessary to drive an automobile and travel by commercial or MAC air carrier.
