Stryker Senior Portfolio Manager - Workflow in Portage, Michigan

Stryker Clinical Communications and Workflow team is currently looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager to support and manage our workflow efforts as we continue to invest in our market leading clinical communications, collaborations and workflow cloud solutions. Stryker will continue to expand our portfolio of 200+ integrations which range from electronic health record systems, nurse call systems, physiological monitors, etc and support a variety of markets that span healthcare, hospitality, education, etc. The Senior Portfolio Manager will clearly define and prioritize Vocera’s workflow approach, ensuring the team has a fundamental understanding of what we are trying to accomplish and why it is important, both to the customer and Stryker. This position reports to the Director, CC&W Portfolio.

What You Will Do:

  • Assesses the impact of competitive dynamics and points of parity / difference through competitive analysis.

  • Researches features and benefits and how they translate to value for a specific platforms within the workflow space.

  • Gathers and collates competitive information to drive insights.

  • Leverages networks of people and resources for obtaining competitive information.

  • Anticipates the needs of customers and patients and creates a superior value proposition.

  • Gain an understanding of clinical opportunities from customers in order implement new features within our existing portfolio

  • Obtains insights by leveraging KOL network.

  • Understands customer value perception and refines proposition for various customer stakeholders.

  • Understands and implements what current and future customers find valuable.

  • Utilizes an established process for conducting market research.

  • Combines historical and current data to optimize market research.

  • Effectively uses and interprets qualitative and quantitative research. Able to glean decision-driving insights through observation of behaviors.

  • Obtain customer requirements and define product specifications via market research activities, market analysis, and on-going communication with global marketing and sales

  • Utilizes market research and third-party data to identify key industry trends.

  • Demonstrates current knowledge of the regulatory environment for industry segment.

  • Discusses industry-specific platforms and services.

  • Collaborates cross-departmentally to participate in the NPD process.

  • Understands NPD and its effect on the business.

  • Obtains information about product and service linkages with other platforms and services elsewhere in organization.

  • Develop and maintain multi-year strategic vision and product roadmap (for internal stakeholders and customers)

  • Drive overall execution of development and launch of platforms/solutions in all markets as part of a cross functional business team

  • Coordinate development of new product/solution training content

  • Build business cases and develop business requirements and plans for new products and enhancements to existing product

  • Holds self and others accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities.

  • Mentors, develops and inspires others.

  • Guides key internal stakeholders and teams and serves as subject matter expert on the Vocera Skill and new integrations, including data integration technologies involving Medical Devices/Hospital IT systems

  • Partners with the Engineering team to actively manage Agile development by taking o

  • Demonstrates financial acumen.

  • Develops key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions, in collaboration with other marketing leaders.

  • Guide key internal stakeholders and teams and serve as the subject matter expert on the Vocera Skill and new integrations, including data integration technologies involving Medical Devices/Hospital IT systems

  • Partner with the Engineering team to actively manage Agile development by taking ownership for authoring, prioritizing, grooming, and acceptance of user stories

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred

  • MBA preferred

  • 6+ years of work experience required

  • 3+ years medical device, portfolio marketing or product management preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven track record of distilling complex problems into discrete elements

  • Demonstrated use of metrics and data analysis to generate platform requirements

  • Familiarity with US and international markets, global communication trends, software development pertaining to healthcare IT preferred
