Job Summary

This is a weekend shift and 4th shift hours are 12 hours each Friday night & Saturday night (10:30pm to 10:30am) and (2) 8 hour shifts during the week.

This position at Saint-Gobain is within the Life Sciences division and is located at our Portage, WI manufacturing plant.

In this role you have responsibility for managing and implementing of all production operations for the assigned work area during 3rd shift. You’ll have responsibility for supervising employees, ensuring the safe and cost effective manufacture of products, which meet or exceed customer quality and delivery requirements. You will lead WCM (World Class Manufacturing) efforts within your work area to improve overall work area performance, perform audits, as well as manage the shift schedule and OEE (overall equipment efficiency) by work area.

You have accountability to lead, coach and mentor your team of direct and indirect reports including participating in the hiring process, developing personal/departmental goals, leading performance management processes and providing feedback and coaching as well as corrective actions when needed. You will also conduct and lead team meetings, effectively communicate information with staff, and design/implement robust training procedures with an emphasis on safety and quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations or equivalent areas; technical discipline; Required.

• Along with 2 years of relatable manufacturing experience.; Preferred

• In lieu of degree, 6+ years’ of related manufacturing experience; Required

 Prefer experience working in a ISO/FDA environment.

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment; Preferred

• Knowledge of injection molding products, equipment and processes’ Preferred

• Analytical problem solving skills using tools such as 5 Why’s, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, and critical thinking; Preferred

 Excellent organizational skills and project management methods to rapidly adapt to changing priorities

• Team player mentality with ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate within all levels of the plant.

• Ability to manage performance, proven leadership ability, demonstrative team-building, mentoring and motivating skills
