Sara Walker with Robert Half is offering an opportunity to join her client the role of an Accounts Payable Clerk in Portland, Oregon. This role involves the management of accounts payable, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices, and maintaining optimal relationships with vendors. This position is part of the accounting industry and is based in a professional office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices for weekly payments through both ACH and check runs

• Scan and input documentation into Accounting Software packages

• Respond to inquiries from vendors via phone or email

• Conduct month-end and quarter-end AP Close procedures

• Reconcile freight billings on a weekly basis

• Upload ACH payment information to banking portal

• Process AR payment batch postings weekly for brokerage entity

• Cross-train with other AP positions to provide coverage as needed

• Remit payroll tax deposit information through federal and state portals

• Monitor positive-pay exceptions through banking portal

• Undertake other projects as assigned by the management team

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, and Microsoft Excel

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Check Runs

• Ability to perform Coding Invoices

• Strong skills in Data Entry

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Information gathering and monitoring skills

• Problem analysis and problem-solving skills

• Integrity and confidentiality

• Team player with the ability to work independently.
