Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant who will play a significant role in our organization. This vital position will involve splitting time between general accounting tasks and overseeing Accounts Payable (AP). The individual selected will supervise a team, handle high volume AP.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee general accounting functions.

• Supervise Accounts Payable team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of transactions.

• Handle high volume AP related to our gas stations and convenience stores.

• Oversee the transition from Dynamics GP to industry-specific software PDI.

• Monitor and manage financial performance and report any discrepancies.

• Conduct month-end close procedures and bank reconciliations.

• Supervise a team, providing guidance, training, and motivation.

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

• Analyze financial data and provide strategies for financial growth.

• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP), Dynamics GP, General Accounting, Month End Close, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Demonstrable ability to maintain financial confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certifications are preferred.

• Familiarity with financial software and databases.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload efficiently.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
