Primary Purpose: The Manager, Accounts Payable (AP) will provide oversite to the administrative and financial business objectives and payment requirements for Univar USA. The position will lead, coordinate and support AP department. What You'll Do: Handles the daily AP activities associated with product purchased for resale, and indirect purchases in accordance with company policies and procedures Lead and develops AP team members to ensure accurate processing, and resolution of invoices Ensures timely processing of invoices in order to maximize vendor terms discounts Coordinates the intake and resolution of high-level critical business problems relative to customer, suppliers, and compliance for all reporting areas Leads annual review and distribution of 1099-MISC forms to IRS and vendors, to ensure filing by needed deadlines Ensures accurate SOX controls, audits and compliance (all AP related systems), ensuring deliverables are met for department Finds opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains by data analysis Recommends and assists in the development of improvements to our current AP systems, including Business Requirements Document, User Acceptance Trainingand go-live testing Monitors and reviews audit reports for T&E and P-Card as well as daily payment transmissions for failed items Runs accurate reporting of daily statistics and ensures timely delivery to VP Finance Operations and leadership Leads and monitors adherence to AP Policies across Univar USA Makes formal presentations to leadership, peers, and internal partners Develops and trains organization relative to AP processes and expectations Ensures working capital strategy maximization and execution to targets Facilitates creation of process docs and processor training What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting, from fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience 5 years accounts payable managerial/supervisory experience Proficient with and knowledge of AP invoice processing related systems Knowledge and experience working with Tableau, MS Office Suite, with strong Excel and PPT skills SAP or major ERP experience Ability to efficiently lead various internal and external level of non-managerial and managerial personnel Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a high-pressure environment Communicate efficiently with all levels of people under critical and highly charged conditions Strong work ethic and initiative Highly adaptable, self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning and improvement Meticulous attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Univar Solutions is a leading, global distributor of chemicals and ingredients essential to the safety, health, and wellbeing of our daily lives from life-saving medicines and vitamins to hand sanitizers and industrial materials used for cleaning, construction, and more.
