Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, performance-driven leader who cultivates a team-based, collaborative, customer focused environment which embraces inclusion and promotes candor, innovation, and appropriate risk taking. The US Commercial (Marketing & Sales) Lead for Orencia will be a skilled commercial leader and an accomplished marketer with a proven track record of building high performing teams, developing talent and driving commercial success. As a key commercial leader in the US organization we are looking for a leader who can contribute not only to the success of the brand but also contribute at a broader BU and enterprise level.

Primary Responsibilities

  • This leader will have full marketing and sales responsibility for Orencia, across both IV and SC formulations, >$2Bn growing business in the US in a highly competitive marketplace.

  • Accountable for leading a team of marketing and sales professionals with diverse talents, experiences and perspectives to support this important business, and managing this team with Inclusion to ensure we are enhancing our competitiveness and driving innovation for the ultimate benefit of patients with Rheumatologic diseases.

  • The US Commercial Lead will have full commercial P&L ownership for the asset and accountability for delivering against all financial and forecast targets.

  • With direct accountability for Marketing (HCP and Patient), an innovative Remote-First sales team and matrix accountability for the access strategy and plan, this leader will ensure a fully aligned and integrated brand strategy across the complexities of the IV and SC markets and will be responsible for driving execution across all channels.

  • Work in close partnership with matrix partners, including medical, Market Access and WW, as well as other Immunology Brand Teams to drive the future portfolio strategy in the US, ensuring integrated and prioritized launch plans.

  • Reporting to the SVP of US Immunology & Neuroscience, this leader will be a key member of the US Immunology LT and play a critical role in shaping and driving the overall ONE Immunology strategy and culture and contribute to the overall success of the Business Unit.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • MBA or other Advanced Degree Preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience and direct sales leadership experience

  • Strong leadership skills to lead the overall strategic planning and execution of key deliverables

  • Prior Health Care Practitioner marketing experience with demonstrated expertise in customer focus, insight mining, message development and marketing analytics.

  • Proven track record of effectively and efficiently driving performance within a matrix organization with strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and executive collaboration required.

  • Ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships

  • Immunology experience strongly preferred.

  • Willing to travel up to 25%
