Sinclair Broadcast Group News Anchor - MMJ (Weekends) in Providence, Rhode Island
WJAR, Southern New England's News Leader, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Weekend Morning Anchor/Multimedia Journalist.
The ideal candidate will anchor WJAR’s top-rated weekend morning newscasts and fill in on other shows as needed. We are looking for someone with sharp news judgment, strong writing skills, a sharp wit, and the ability to work well with others. Extensive experience in both anchoring and doing live shots is required.
Your responsibilities as a Multimedia Journalist will include:
Reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned.
You will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of digital platforms, in addition to television.
The ability to work under deadline and on a flexible schedule is required.
Experience with Avid is a plus.
Requirements:
You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
This is NOT an entry-level position. You must have 2 years on-air experience. Please include a web link of your most recent work when applying.
