3/4 time PF Payroll Accounting Specialist needed for a Provo, UT university.
Staff and Administrative
Essential Functions
Payroll Operations
* Daily Payroll Functions*
- Accountable for daily timecard entry and verification for accuracy of approximately 2,200 employee
- Division Liaison for International Reports, ACA Reports, 500-hr Reports
Process Payroll end and compile reports
- Complete all payroll end processing
- Verify all time has been submitted for the pay period
- Run Overtime and Labor Summary Reports to check and correct any discrepancies
- Prepare Payroll Tape files for University payroll office
- Check Register
- Overtime and Standby entry
- Compose memorandums and other written communication regarding payroll process changes and alert PF personnel of upcoming deadlines
- Retain source documentation to satisfy government and auditor requirements
Records and Files
- Setup and manage recording systems
- Update Leave of Absence employees as needed
- Revise position status information as changes occur
- Retain source documents to satisfy government and auditor requirements
Maintain employee files for all Physical Facilities employees
- Download file updates daily from University records
- Termination processing
- Alterations to all employee status and pay rate
Security Coordinator for all PF and HR liaison
- Communicate with PF departments for all HR security requests
- Regularly update security logs and hierarchy for departments within PF
- Attend HR committee meetings and share process and policy changes with PF management
Supervision

Other Duties as Assigned
- Complete requested Business Support projects as needed
- Aid PF departments and management regarding specific payroll and other HR policy questions as needed
- Generates and regularly updates hiring/replacement log for Physical Facilities AAVP staff
Education/Experience
Minimum required: 2 years' experience in payroll processing and functionality, with 10 key proficiency
*Preferred: *Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Business related field, with 10 years' experience in payroll processing and 10 key proficiency
Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications:
- Required: Independent problem solving, deductive reasoning, excellent logic and special problem solving skills. Good public relation skills
- Preferred: Exceptional public relation skills
