Professional Position Details: The Opportunity: As the Associate Director for Transportation Services, you will direct a multitude of functions related to planning, construction, and maintenance of parking facilities; administration, business systems and processing; parking operations, customer service, customer experience, and sales; communication, marketing, public relations; supervision and leadership. In collaboration and/or in the absence of the Director, you will provide leadership in the areas of strategic planning, lead customer experience initiatives, facilities planning, financial planning, transit and transportation demand management, Town/Gown relationships and issues, and regional transportation issues. Required Qualifications: • Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field which has included at least two (2) years of management experience. A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, or on request. Must be available for some travel. • Must be available 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily, including weekdays and holidays. • Must work independently with little supervision. • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with https://policies.wsu.edu/prf/index/manuals/safety-policies-procedures-manual/sppm-7-10/#four3 and departmental driving standards.
