Professional Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Associate Director/Clinical Director is a member of the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Leadership Team, participating in visionary leadership and decision making at CAPS. The Associate Director/Clinical Director takes a lead role in the overall management of CAPS day-to-day operations, provides administrative supervision of professional staff, and assists the Director to develop priorities and goals for CAPS services and programs. In addition, the Associate Director/Clinical Director provides overall leadership, oversight, and management within the area of Clinical Services. The Associate Director/Clinical Director will act as the Director's designee regarding administration, clinical services, crisis response, and consultation when the Director is absent or when designated by the Director to do so. This includes sharing on-call responsibility after hours. This position also includes providing counseling to a diverse student population with a broad range of clinical issues. Duties include clinical service delivery, supervision and training, and consultation and outreach. Required Qualifications: • A doctoral degree in Psychology, or equivalent including completion of pre-doctoral internship. • Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program. • Three years of post-doctoral clinical counseling experience with demonstrated experience in providing crisis intervention services. • Licensed as a psychologist in the state of Washington or currently licensed in another state and able to become licensed in the state of Washington within 90 days of hire. • Experience in a college/university counseling center. • Experience working within a culturally diverse community. • Experience providing clinical supervision to graduate students. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Three years of post-doctoral clinical experiences in a college/university counseling center. • Previous administrative and leadership experience in a university counseling center. • Ability to manage complex crises and/or clinical situations and to provide related supervision, training, and consultation to a large multidisciplinary staff and faculty on an as needed basis. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
