Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Cloud Administrator and System Administrator, you will collaborate with the development and test teams to ensure the quality, usability, and serviceability of IBM's Software Defined Storage portfolio and IBM Cloud Storage services.

Responsibilities:

In the role of Cloud and System Administrator, you would be responsible for -

  • Work as a Cloud Administrator and System Administrator role to Perform administrative processes for all cloud systems,ESX server and ensure continuous delivery of the product to the stakeholders.

  • Support internal customers by resolving incident and service requests

  • Coordinate with members of the global Storage Engineering team

  • Participate in continuous improvement

  • Ability to work in a geographically distributed team

  • Create/Update the test environment and code, execute Manual and automated test scenarios and environments.

  • Work with the development and system tests team to ensure product quality, usability, and serviceability.

  • Experience in continuous delivery and test practices

  • Hands-on experience working in a cloud environment.

  • Configure cloud infrastructure/VMWare and management solutions

  • Handle Service ticket and connect with IBM Cloud Help desk to resolve issue.

You will work with the senior technical leaders, development team and manager in effectively managing product environment through technical skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 6-12 years of industry experience in Cloud and System Administrator responsible for collaborating with members of our Technical Delivery Teams and Architecture teams to support and improve the delivery of product

  • As an Cloud and System administrator , you will be responsible for keeping up with the latest changes, using your expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our products

  • The administrator will be responsible for collaborating with members of our Technical Delivery Teams and Architecture teams to support and improve the delivery of managed services

  • Ability to diagnose defects/issues, and demonstrates triage and problem-solving capability to develop and deliver quality solutions

  • Adept at problem solving and debugging complex code stacks

  • Good communication skills and ability to work autonomous

  • Experience in network optimization and debug container-based environment,

  • Experience in debugging shell scripts and Python programming

  • Configuration, deployments, and vulnerability remediation in multi-tier environments with firewalls, load balancers, and high availability solutions

  • Hands-on experience working in a cloud environment.

  • Experience with Containers

  • Experience with designing and validating container solutions with Kubernetes, Docker, or Openshift

  • Advance knowledge of and experience with RHEL OS, system configuration, and administration.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Familiarity with Unix, Linux, and Windows virtual machines

  • Problem Solving:Handle several challenges related to installation, maintenance, deployment, migration, operation and performance. Strong logical reasoning, troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills can help them manage these challenges promptly.

  • *Expertise with virtualization functions like Hyper-V, KVM, and VMware

  • Prior experience with container deployment and orchestration platforms, like Kubernetes

  • Experience with Ceph, or other Storage systems.

  • Experience in GitHub Pull Request development workflow.

  • Experience with Agile Software Development Experience

  • Familiarity with storage concept..

  • Proven knowledge on functional and system QA validation of Storage technology.

  • Hands-on experience working in a cloud environment.

  • Configure cloud infrastructure/VMWare and management solutions

  • Provide troubleshooting support internal teams

  • Perform administrative processes for all cloud systems,ESX server that including installation, backup, security, array management and software patching on the servers to make it compliance

  • Experience in network optimization and debug container-based environment.
