QA Engineer II

As Nuvolo’s QA Engineer II, you will be responsible for executing scripts within specified test environments with a high degree of accuracy on both Mobile (iOS and Android devices) and Web platforms.

As a QA Engineer II your role will include:

  • Working closely with the QA Automation Lead/Manager/Architect on the automation roadmap.

  • Responsible for developing, reviewing, approving and executing automation scripts throughout the different releases and products using critical thinking and analysis.

  • Converting manual tests into automated scripts using available tools and technologies

  • Reporting execution status and automation coverage to leadership and related functional teams.

  • Creating and maintaining automation test documentation.

  • Ability to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Working closely with the Product POD team, including engineering, PM, and functional QA team.

  • Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

  • Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cycles and test cases.

  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities.

  • Have the opportunity to develop automation testing skills.

  • Relies upon more experienced engineers for guidance.

  • Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

  • Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cycles and test cases.

  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities.

  • Works in hand with the QA engineer I to guide them through the testing.

  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand and clarify software requirements

  • Analyze test results to predict user behavior, identify bugs and suggest solutions to minimize problems

  • Writes well designed automated scripts following our established Test Automation Standards

  • Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system

  • Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.

  • Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases.

  • Log and document bugs in the tracking system.

  • Working with the team to plan the automation of the major workflows and break the code in creative ways.

  • Responsible for developing and reviewing automated scripts, providing feedback as needed.

This role could be a fit for you if you bring:

  • 3-4 years of experience in Automation and Quality Assurance practice

  • 2+ years of experience with Selenium and Appium

  • Self-driven results-oriented and motivated

  • Ability to work across time zones and be flexible

  • Positive Attitude with the ability to adapt quickly

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • 2+ years’ experience with agile development methodologies. Experience with Java, Selenium and Appium

  • Ability to work across time zones and be flexible

  • Ability to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with JavaScript is a plus

  • 1+ years of experience with ServiceNow is preferred
