Sr. Data Engineer (Oracle ERP Data Migration)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a senior data engineer with a deep specialization in data migration to architect and lead our Oracle ERP Cloud data migration initiatives. This strategic role focuses on ensuring that our data migration processes are seamlessly aligned with our broader business goals. You will be a pivotal member of the Enterprise Data Management team, bringing a blend of empathy, curiosity, and a relentless drive for excellence.

In this role, the individual will...

• Design and Architect Data Migration Frameworks: Develop comprehensive data migration strategies that address the full lifecycle from data extraction to data loading into Oracle ERP Cloud, ensuring data integrity, reconciliation, and alignment with business requirements.

• Lead Data Migration Projects: Spearhead data migration projects, particularly for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with stakeholders including enterprise data experts, CRM and BI technical teams, and business units to craft solutions that support strategic decisions.

• Advanced Data Handling and Analysis: Utilize advanced data manipulation and analysis techniques to address complex business inquiries and reporting needs that cannot be met via standard Oracle ERP Cloud reporting.

• Ensure Data Quality and Best Practices: Conduct thorough data reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and system scalability across all Oracle ERP Cloud data migrations.

• Technical Leadership and Solution Development: Drive the development of templatized data migration solutions within the Oracle ERP Cloud ecosystem.

• Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, data mappings, and process workflows; continuously identify and implement system enhancements.

• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep abreast of new Oracle ERP Cloud features and trends in data migration technologies, advocating for and implementing best practices that enhance system capabilities and business operations.

You have what it takes if you have…

• Deep Expertise in Oracle ERP Cloud and Data Migration: Strong technical mastery in Oracle, with functional knowledge of Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report, and Financial Reporting domains, as well as specific skills in related Oracle cloud modules, data migration tools, and a track record of managing large-scale data migration projects.

• Skills and Experience : Working with Oracle ERP Cloud modules – Financial Reporting and Accounting (Accounting Hub, GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets); Revenue Management; Subscription Management; Billing; and Reporting

• Technical Proficiency: Deep experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, and familiarity with database management systems such as Snowflake and SQL Server, and ETL tools like Fivetran.

• Integration and Automation Skills: Expertise in designing and implementing integration patterns, using REST APIs, middleware solutions, and automation tools to enhance system efficiencies.

• Agile Methodology: Proven ability in leading projects within an Agile framework, fostering quick iterations and adaptations based on evolving business needs.

• Strong Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and driving cross-functional collaboration.

• Educational Background: A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 6-8 years of relevant Oracle ERP Cloud experience, including 4 years in a data migration-focused role.
