Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Coordinates and delivers new employee orientation. Assists with the delivery of some soft skill development courses, training on Human Resources¿ processes/technology, and compliance training. Prepares job aids and resources to support employees with frequently asked questions/common issues to enhance employee experience. Assists Supervisory Training Specialist with the continual review and revision of training offerings to ensure offerings are adaptive, relevant, and innovative and aligned to organizational and individual department needs. Serves as a Site Administrator for the organization¿s Learning Management System (LMS); provides first level technical support to employees (escalating issues as necessary to the next level for resolution). Creates sessions, events, and learning assignments (one-time and recurring) in the LMS. Processes course enrollment, attendance, and other data. Monitors course interest tracking, pending enrollment lists, and waiting lists. Creates complex reports, such as, course completions, training evaluation metrics, and mandatory training compliance, utilizing system and organizational tools on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or annual basis according to customer needs. Supports ongoing training program operations involving the usage, analysis, and administration of the LMS. Works under the general supervision of the Supervisory Training Specialist to provide a variety of administrative/logistical support for the Training Department. Maintains, organizes, and prepares materials and resources. Prepares communication/templates to promote department offerings, explain and clarify policy/procedures, and effectively respond to prospective employees, current employees, and supervisor inquiries. Organizes the workflow of various tasks and incoming requests. Manages the department calendar and sends confirmations for training events. Organizes logistics, such as, room reservations, instructor availability, technology, room set-up etc. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Bachelor¿s degree in a related field appropriate to the work of the position, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR three years of practical experience that involved work of a technical, specialized, or support nature in the field of education and training. Experience in delivering courses/trainings/briefings, and/or creating job aids for adult learners. Knowledge of effective training/facilitation practices. Skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing to individuals at different levels of an organization. Proficient in MS Office, specifically: Excel to compile, filter, and sort data, PowerPoint to create/edit presentations, and Outlook to manage calendars and tasks. Experience with Publisher, Access, and SharePoint a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage the workflow of multiple, competing tasks. Demonstrated administrative skills such as experience collecting and organizing documentation or files. Ability to work independently, prioritize and plan, while functioning as part of a team. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Experience with virtual learning platforms (such as WebEx) and a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred but not required. Willingness to learn various new training approaches and technologies.
