Summary You will serve as a VICTIM WITNESS ASSISTANCE COORDINATOR in the Department of the Navy, Headquarters, USMC, of HQ US MARINE CORPS. Responsibilities You will provide specialized legal support and services to victims and witnesses in accordance with applicable regulations and guidance. You will coordinate with officers and other employees engaged in the detection, investigation, and prosecution of crimes, the confinement of service members, and the change of inmate status. You will coordinate services with federal and local governmental, civilian, and non-profit organizations, as appropriate, to ensure victims' needs are met, to maximize available services. You will ensure the date of all victim witness assistance program related actions and correspondence are appropriate recorded in the appropriate electronic case management system. You will provide instruction and training to Marine Corps judge advocates and legal services specialist to ensure all parties understand the purpose of the victim witness assistance program and their respective roles and responsibilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector notifying victims and witnesses concerning their rights throughout a court process and coordinating efforts to permit the appearance of all victims and witnesses.
