Job - Scheduling and Purchasing Assistant

Pay - $21/hour

Type - Full time, 8AM-4PM

POSITION SUMMARY

This position works under the guidance of the Manager of Master Scheduling and the Supply Chain Manager assisting with scheduling and purchasing functions. This position operates within FDA, FSMA and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements defining food safety standards for the safe production of food in the plant and offices i.e. within the standards of defined risk levels by area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Scheduling:

  • Monthly inventory reconciliation at outside warehouses and copackers.

  • Entering loads in TMS Portal

  • Sending COAs to copackers.

  • Updating Spray Dry production schedule when we receive updates.

  • Update Adage with new production start dates.

  • Maintain copacker schedule spreadsheet.

  • Once the formula calculator has been sent to copacker by Scheduling or R & D, approve the batch cards by ensuring copacker information matches our formula calculator.

  • Log outside warehouse receipts of spray dry bases on the outside warehouse raw ingredient spreadsheet.

  • Request outside warehouse inventory every Monday and save to Purchasing drive.

  • Maintain spray dry purchase order when BOLs are sent by increasing quantities as needed.

  • Enter warehouse transfers to / from client to outside warehouses or copackers, as needed.

  • Schedule spray dry bases to be sent to outside warehouse for storage.

Purchasing :

  • Email suppliers for missing documents and upload to Trace Gains.

  • Enter purchase orders and create folders for purchase orders on NY drive.

  • Check Purchasing mailbox for acknowledgements, COAs, and announcements.

  • Review order acknowledgements for accurate price and delivery and log on PO register.

  • Review PO log and create a list weekly of unacknowledged purchase orders for team.

  • Send a copy of non-stock Purchase orders to Warehouse daily.

  • Purchasing Department filing of open and closed PO's.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

Experience: 2-5 years Supply Chain experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with MRP/ERP.

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
