We are currently looking for a shipping and receiving lead to join our manufacturing team. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, is a problem-solver, team-player, and has a desire to learn.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Complete scheduling and shipment processes and documentation for both domestic and international shipments.
- Verify shipping methods and rates in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
- Safely utilize material handling equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, and forklift) to load trucks and transport goods around the manufacturing and warehouse area.
- Assist with Quality Control (QC), business improvement tasks, and projects.
- Verify proper quality control documentation is present and complete for each shipment.
- Provide back up support for receiving operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping.
- Preferable experience in international shipping as well as domestic.
- Attention to details, focused on accuracy.
- Sense of urgency and a willingness to stay until the work is done.
- Self-driven, self-motivated, and desire to succeed.
- Willingness to learn and be coached.
- Ability to prioritize tasking based upon an understanding of the broader goal.
- Excellent team player and solid interpersonal skills.
- Forward thinking mindset and planning skills.
- Ability to do research, problem solve, and find the answer to a problem/barrier.
- Can make decisions quickly and that are well thought out.
- Ability to shift gears and change plans quickly and effectively.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
