Substation Engineering Company | SENIOR ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION ENGINEER (Reading, PA):
Senior level electrical engineering position focusing on the performance of both routine & complex activities related to the design of high & extra-high-voltage substations for both AIS & GIS projects. Apply engineering principles/practices to provide cost estimating, engineering, & design analysis to develop effective engineering solutions for assigned public/private projects. Design/modify physical designs, specify & layout major equipment, & perform relevant engineering calculations. Draft site plans, plan & elevation views, grounding, conduit, lighting & control details, AC station service, DC systems & Bills of Material. Perform calculations such as grounding, voltage drop, cable ampacities & more. Manage budget/schedule on assigned projects. Up to 10% domestic travel.
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or closely related engineering field + 5 years' post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a closely related Electrical Engineering occupation; 5 years' experience in an electrical engineering role working with high & extra high (EHV) voltage substations & developing high voltage equipment specifications related to substations; 3 years' experience in an electrical engineering role working with Extra high voltage & Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) substations & integrated models.
Knowledge of: AutoCAD electrical ; AutoCAD ; WinIGS , CDEGS.
