Microsoft Corporation Business Program Manager - Antitrust in Redmond, Washington

The Competition and Market Regulation Group helps the company comply with the competition and antitrust laws around the world, close mergers and acquisitions, and respond to investigations. We also engage with regulators, academics, and others to consider the role of competition and antitrust law in the face of our changing economy and the development of new technology. It requires a broad understanding of our industry and our customers, technology, the political environment and the law as well as the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across disciplines to solve problems.

Our group is looking for a Business Program Manager - Antitrust to establish, coordinate, and manage processes and programs necessary to support compliance with market regulation and regulatory commitments as well as responses to complex regulatory investigations and merger reviews. These efforts may also include at times working with others to drive and develop processes, substantive responses, including requested documents and data. You will need to work closely and effectively with Microsoft engineering and marketing teams, attorneys in our own group and across our department as well as outside counsel and economic consultants.

Because this program manager will support a variety of compliance processes and legal matters, experience in compliance, commercial litigation, regulatory review of mergers, or knowledge of discovery phases and trial procedures will be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support and contribute to processes and programs that support Microsoft’s compliance with regulatory obligations globally.

  • Collaborate across internal legal, engineering, and marketing teams and externally outside counsel and consulting economic advisors.

  • Identify opportunities to develop new compliance programs and improve current ones with minimal guidance.

  • Collaborate with others to solve problems, define strategies, gather program requirements, identify resource needs, create the project plan and targets, and work across teams to align on the plan of record.

  • Drive coordination during process and program execution to ensure participants and stakeholders are engaged and responding according to the necessary cadence.

  • Drive clarity in program issues and strive for simplification and efficiency.

  • Communicateprocesses and programs to stakeholders and external advisors to gain buy in with minimal guidance.

  • Work independently across teams to ensure all processes are understood and effective.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 2+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement

  • OR equivalent experience.

Business Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $72,800 - $144,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $95,100 - $157,900 per year.
