Microsoft Purview Data Security, Governance and Compliance team is looking for an experienced, energetic and hands on product manager to drive product strategy for managed secure data access to enable advanced threat hunting, XDR and security incident management capabilities, offering our customers and internal teams a holistic, efficient way to protect against and respond to advanced cyberattacks. Our team charter is to provide the foundation to enable this new approach to threat detection and response that provides holistic protection against cyberattacks, unauthorized access etc. across Microsoft's products and solutions. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to drive product innovation in this critical, customer-facing solution area.

Responsibilities

• Driving product strategy, design, and coordination for a managed secure data access offering to enable advanced threat hunting, XDR and security incident management capabilities

• Defining and measuring KPI’s/OKR’s for their feature areas and ensure the product roadmap accrues to measurable success.

• Driving partnerships between teams to understand their scenarios and translating them to requirements for products

• Fostering a working relationship with development, design, content, marketing, and business development

• Embracing an adaptable and flexible organizational culture and thrive in our fast paced and evolving industry/technology

• Providing strategic guidance to teams to define the long-term vision and strategy for the feature(s)/feature area

• Finding solutions to hard problems at massive scale and operationalizing them

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

o OR equivalent experience.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements as these are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

o OR equivalent experience

  • Experience working on highly scalable, managed services offerings for secure data access

  • Experience working on advanced threat hunting, XDR and security incident management/SoC operations

  • Experience building large scale services

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
