We're hiring an experienced Senior Communications Manager to join our team, spearheading our strategic communication efforts and crafting impactful strategies. This role is accountable for providing full-service strategy consulting, solutioning, journey building, creation, copywriting, localization, and deployment for employee skilling communications worldwide. It involves orchestrating key communication initiatives, overseeing external resources, and driving engagement for all learning communications for Microsoft's Commercial Sales Organization (MCAPS) as well as other campaigns with company-wide impact.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate communication initiatives and manage a team of external resources to ensure adherence to business priorities, standards, and successful campaign execution.

  • Develop and execute communication strategies, targeting diverse audiences, and ensuring consistency across messages and channels.

  • Craft compelling stories using data and insights, determining appropriate formats, and ensuring confluence of content and audience across narratives.

  • Limited Executive Communications support for the General Manager

  • Manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize tasks, and drive successful execution of communication efforts.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance reputation, mitigate risks, and act as a trusted advisor within the organization.

  • Monitor and analyze the impact of messaging, set metrics and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and implement improvements to drive impact.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field or 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • 4+ years experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role

  • Demonstrated experience driving adoption across multiple staekholders with varying agendas

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of specialized functional experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Communication and storytelling skills

  • Business acumen and strategic thinking

  • Ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively

  • Proficiency in data analysis and decision-making

  • Experience in project and program management

  • Knowledge of corporate communications standards and practices

Communications IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
