Microsoft Corporation Technical Program Manager II in Redmond, Washington

The Windows Silicon & System Integration (WSSI) team within Windows + Devices is on a journey to deliver iconic end-to-end products across hardware, software, and services that people love and use every day. The WSSI team is hiring an experienced Technical Program Manager II who will help further WSSI’s strategy of creating desirable and powerful devices that enable the experiences people want.

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for leading the definition and development from concept to prototype to implementation for several technology areas across Hardware and Software, delivering solutions across the portfolio. You will work with internal / external partner teams, product management, architects, development, quality assurance, and user experience teams to align objectives, create functional specifications, implement a plan, and ultimately deliver a high-quality, customer compelling products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive delivery of both current products and helps to define the future of our software and firmware solutions supporting Windows Client PCs. 

  • Define multi-year technology roadmaps spanning both software and hardware; own and manage the feature backlog including scenarios and feature health. 

  • Drive a culture of innovation and experimentation throughout the team. You will have the opportunity to work with inside and outside Microsoft to develop solutions that work across multiple devices. This will require deep software knowledge as well as hardware considerations for multiple platforms. 

  • Lead development teams to create end-to-end customer experience goals, program plans, specifications, performance/quality metrics, production qualification plans, and conduct executive reviews. 

  • Establish and manage effective working relationships with domestic and international partners.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

  • Experience using Azure DevOps products and services.

  • Experience working through a complete product cycle.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
