Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in the facility. Your role will encompass preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, install, repair and rebuild equipment without direct supervision.   • Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment generally classified as mechanical power transmission including gearboxes/drives, transmissions, conveyors (belt, scroll, bucket), and rollers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform basic to advanced troubleshooting of equipment mechanical issues.
  • Execute preventive maintenance plans to uphold machinery reliability and longevity.
  • Collaborate with production operators to identify equipment issues and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring and testing instruments, to maintain and repair machinery.
  • General fabrication skills such as welding (ARC, MIG, and TIG), torch, cutting equipment, and grinders.
  • Able to apply general mechanical knowledge in basic electrical blueprints.
  • Reads and understands blueprints and wiring diagrams used in diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory of spare parts using computerized maintenance system.
  • Perform monthly inspections and tests on safety systems.
  • Safely operate power industrial equipment such as heavy equipment and arial lifts
  • Comply with safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others, and adhere to company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical certification or relevant vocational training plus 2 years relevant experience or 5 plus years in industrial maintenance preferably in injection molding or paint equipment.

Strong understanding of electrical controls as well as PLCs.

Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to install, diagnose and repair equipment.

Ability to utilize and operate a computerized maintenance management system.

Ability to operate and be a licensed power industrial truck operator.

Ability to operate and be a licensed aerial platform operator.

Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.
