Drawing from decades of experience, Ameresco develops tailored energy projects for the commercial, industrial, government, education, healthcare and public housing sectors.Ameresco currently has a new opportunity in UK for an experienced Project HSE Manager to oversee the construction and Installation of 300MW grid connected Battery Energy Storage System ( BESS). This is a 2-year fixed term contract position.Responsibilities• Advise, guide and coach site personnel on the project on the implementation of Ameresco’s Integrated Management System (IMS)• Participate in Construction Team meetings and provide regular on-site project presence.• Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs at the project site.• Provide Project Management Team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry guidelines and regulations;• Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action and implement follow up assessments.• Collaborate with Project Management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as Primary Contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.• Maintain a written log of project site safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence;• Plan, implement, and conduct project site preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.• Provide safety reviews and follow up to a variety of required project safety submittals (RAMS, Lift Plans, LOTO etc.) from subcontractors;• Ensure Quality Control of subcontractors operations relevant to their safety submittals and the clients requirements;• Perform other duties as required.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety Management or NEBOSH Diploma/equivalent.• Internal Audit Qualification (ISO 45001)• Minimum 8 years large scale industrial construction project safety management.• Detailed understanding of Construction safety risks and controls within the electricityTransmission and distribution industry• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Construction Design and Management Regulations2015 .• Chartered Member (CMIOSH) or Certified Member (CertIOSH) with an up to date CPD workingtowards CMIOSHAdditional Preferred Qualifications:• Current certifications in First Aid at Work• Fire Marshal Training• Ability to manage positive and effective interpersonal, functional, organizational relationships withall parties.• Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication and presentation skills..AMERESCO challenges the brightest, most talented and creative individuals in the industry by providingan environment that embraces initiative, diversity, and achievement along with comprehensive rewards,including people-oriented insurance, investment, and incentive plans.Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer/Women/Minorities/Veteran/Disability.
