As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.

Let’s Talk about the Role

As an Alstom GT 26 Site Lead , you will support our customers with their installation, maintenance, and warranty work with industrial power generation rotating equipment on Alstom Gas Turbines , as well as preforming site activities, coordinates the commissioning & start-up activities with the customer.

Possessing knowledge of customer plant processes; you will also manage cost control in terms of project and resource scheduling.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Coordinates the work with suppliers who provide specialist services, monitoring activities in compliance with EHS regulations, organizing the work activities and signal unsecure situations and promote working safe.

  • Attends all site coordination meetings.

  • Confirms that site work activities are reported daily to customer and GE.

  • Confirms that TFAs have adequate resources (manpower, tools, technical documents, facilities, etc) to perform their tasks.

  • Coordinates activities of site TFA to ensure project schedule and quality goals are achieved.

  • Ensures all TFA timesheets are correct, and approvals as required are obtained.

  • Management of Subcontractor Companies: manpower, OEM specialists, (when applicable).

  • Ensures all reports and drawing “marked-up” are completed.

  • Ensures the application of applicable EHS safety rules.

  • Resolution of site non-conformances. Ensures non-conformances are communicated and leading through company tool with the appropriate HQs interfaces.

  • Lead and develop employees.

Special Role Requirements:

  • Able to travel extensively overseas to and from projects and various field assignments.

  • Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.

  • Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.

Skills for Success

You should have extensive Field Engineering Services experience with a solid understanding of Alstom Gas Turbine 26 Operation and Controlling Parameters. You will also have:

  • Extensive technical experience with Alstom Gas and Steam Turbines Technologies.

  • Strong technical competence in reading and interpreting mechanical flow and instrument diagrams dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment.

  • Knowledge and skill to actively support field service activities and be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise.

  • Experience working on successful installations and be trained on Alstom equipment .

A formal education and subsequent University bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
