Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Healthy Blue’s North Carolina Medicaid Managed Care Program drives financial performance by enabling market leadership with prescriptive feedback on product performance, business initiative value, and cost efficiency while ensuring seamless cross-functional connectivity.

  • Responsible for accounting and finance operations, including all audit activities.

  • Proactively advocate for the quality and financial sustainability of Medicaid business

  • Develop spend and business initiative recommendations for Medicaid leads based on internal and external financial trends.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to ensure financial diligence prior to decision finalization.

  • Produce financial performance reports, driving continuous transparency into market financial health.

  • Support planning for all financial levers

  • Track market P&L, escalating financial performance risks to senior leadership.

  • Monitor and report on membership including composition/demographic changes.

  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and inputs (risk considerations, implementation costs, etc.)

  • Leverage segment analytics to inform short-term and long-term affordability recommendations.

  • Foster stakeholder collaboration across the entire organization as well as with external entities, including the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services

  • Oversee material financial transactions.

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field and 10 years of related experience.

  • In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field

  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid Managed Care required.

  • Must reside in North Carolina. Relocation assistance would be considered

Salary Range

$131,900.00 - $250,600.00
