The Senior International Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the global export and sanctions compliance programs, including U.S. export licensing support. As a Senior ITC Manager, you will advise GE HealthCare operations on all aspects of trade compliance. You will coordinate closely with regional business partners and with other ITC team members to ensure that trade compliance policies, procedures and training are implemented that conform to the enterprise standard. You will represent ITC on cross-functional teams and will ensure coordination on trade compliance matters across the regions and product modalities.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The international trade compliance team counsels GE HealthCare on global export control and sanctions requirements, applies for governmental export licenses, and provides compliance advice and oversight for international trade activities on a global basis.

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to the operational teams to ensure compliance with US, EU and global export controls and sanctions.

  • Work closely with the business teams to coordinate exports against licenses with operational teams.

  • Proactively identify and communicate impacts of changing trade compliance regulations and policies.

  • Collaborate with and advise business functions on trade compliance issues related to various manufacturing, supply chain and service projects.

  • Work with ITC team members and various business functions to develop, document and implement export compliance policies and procedures.

  • Identify areas of ITC risk and ensure that any necessary corrective actions are implemented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in International Trade Compliance or related experience.

Desired Characteristics:

  • JD desired.

  • Demonstrated expertise in U.S. export controls and sanctions laws and regulations; strong working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff System (HS) for tariff classifications.

  • Prior experience with sanctions and/or export control licensing submissions to Bureau of Industry & Security (BIS); some experience with licensing in EU and other countries is also desired.

  • Good working knowledge of EU export controls and sanctions programs.

  • Prior experience managing compliance within an automated trade system.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels of the business.

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.

  • Collaborative attitude, strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $144,240.00-$216,360.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE HealthCare will require proof of status prior to employment.
