Job Description Summary This position monitors the function and maintenance of all forklift equipment to assure its proper operation. Performs maintenance activities to maximize plant production. Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned): Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs. This position will perform routine checks and preventive maintenance established by the maintenance lead and Team Leader. Performs troubleshooting, removal, installation, disassembly, repair and assembly of: * Chain and Sprocket Drives * V Belt Drives * Gear Boxes * Pumps * Valves * Fans * Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, and Cylinders * D.C. Electrical Systems * Differential Drives * Tires and Wheels * Brake systems * Bearings * Drive Motors Explains function and performs troubleshooting and repair of: * Electric Forklifts * Gas Forklifts * Freezer Doors * Freezer Storage Racks * Pallet Lifts * Batteries * Dock Levelers Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Assists in any maintenance activity assigned by Team Leaders This position requires the use of personal protective equipment to perform the job safely.
