Position Summary:

This position provides the supervision and leadership necessary to direct the Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Quality Laboratory departments across the Casting, Machining, and Finishing business units. This position plans, organizes, and directs work activities and resources necessary for optimizing quality systems and processes under Madison-Kipps safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale expectations.

We are looking to fill this role at a lead, supervisor or manager level depending on the candidates skills and qualifications. Qualification are based on a supervisor level.

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • 2-year College Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and education
  • Ability to read and understand measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Knowledge of operation of x-ray, CMM, and spectrometer equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality vision to ensure Madison-Kipps Quality Systems and Policies are compliant with ISO 9001 and IATF quality system requirements
  • Strong performance management, mentoring, and leadership development capabilities
  • Proficient with Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
  • Good organizational skills
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented
  • A strong sense of urgency, unquestioned ethics, and the ability to hold others accountable while maintaining good working relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Willing to work overtime and all shifts as required

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • 4-year College Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and education

``` - Prior CMM / Calibration Zeiss training - Prior quality lab experience - Experience in a manufacturing facility - Strong root-cause problem-solving capability

Skills and Abilities:

  • Perform a variety of quality control tests/inspections on products, materials, components, and parts at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance
  • Meeting quality, reliability, and regulatory standards
  • Record and evaluate test data and follow quality procedures
  • This position will be required to operate various quality equipment including x-ray, CMM, and spectrometer in the quality lab
  • Visually observe any defect from samples brought into the lab
  • Maintain daily logs for defects, test results, non-routine testing done, and defect notifications
  • Issue defect notifications on out of specification results. Communicate with other departments to eliminate causes of defects
  • Maintain a safe work environment, follow OSHA standards as well as safety policies set forth by Madison-Kipp USA
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager, with the ability to cross train and work in several departments during
  • Manage and control the Lab and Floor for Quality performance

  • Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
