Position Purpose:

The Azure Sr Security Architect will lead the design and development of the Azure security architectures for protecting PHI/PII/PCI data deployed into different types of cloud and cloud/hybrid systems. This position will directly contribute to the overall global enterprise cloud architecture and lead the security vision and strategy around cloud-based applications, across all types (including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).

The Azure Sr Security Architect will serve as the central point of contact for IT Cloud Security Architecture for other Technology teams within the organization for all matters related to cloud security. The successful candidate possesses the excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to partner with other leaders across the business to identify opportunities and risks and develop and deliver solutions that support business strategies and protect Organization intellectual property globally.

The Azure Sr Security Architect Possess a firm understanding of Azure security services and offerings. Based on business requirements, design and implement cloud-native architectures and designs that will allow those requirements to be met with a minimal degree of risk to Organization and with appropriate security controls present.

  • Design secure architectures leveraging Azure security native services.

  • Implement Azure IaC solutions using Terraform, ADO, and Gitlab.

  • Conduct assessments of Azure environments by reviewing security architecture, service deployment, and operations.

  • Draft cloud security deliverables based on assessment findings.

  • Work with subject-matter experts from other groups (Information Assurance, Governance, Cloud Center of Excellence) to understand internal process and functional requirements (e.g., GRC, AppSec, DFIR, IAM, SSO).

  • Accurately and consistently document findings and recommendations that are easily digested by clients including procedural documentation and technical briefings.

  • Assist in developing new service offerings based growing cloud services.

  • Develop security best practices, templates and blueprints for cloud services.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed project objective and user expectations.

  • Possess strong client-facing and communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Experience reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.

  • Experience in creating and deploying cloud resources while leveraging cloud security best practices.

  • Maintain a solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, virtualization, containers, infrastructure security, data security, encryption, management plane, business continuity, identity entitlement and access management.

  • Maintain a familiarity with cloud security platforms such as CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, PrismaCloud Code Security and others as new technologies emerge.

  • Ability to communicate with customers and provide consultation on cloud security subject matter.

  • Time management skills with ability to multitask.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).

Requires 4 – 6 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

  • One or more of the following skills are desired:

  • 4 - 6 years of experience as Azure Architect.

  • 1-2 years’ experience as an Azure Engineer/Developer before developing as an architect. Demonstrate hands-on experience in implementing Azure solutions during engineering/developer or other relevant tenure.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the functions listed in the “Responsibilities” sections above through work experience.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Azure services including identity, security, data, application, infrastructure, networking, and DevOps lifecycles.

  • Experience with enterprise applications (architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting).

  • Experience performing threat modelling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies.

  • Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions.

  • Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management.

  • Experience with service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services (e.g: API Services).

  • Experience with Other: Technical Security Assessments on infrastructure, applications and platforms.

  • Experience with Other: Security tools like Vulnerability Scanners.

  • Experience with Other: Security Information & Event Management (SIEM).

  • Experience with Other: IT as it is related to Managed Healthcare.

  • Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect preferred

  • CISSP or CCSP or Relevant Security Certification preferred

Pay Range: $98,900.00 - $183,100.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
