Please review the following job description:

Own all aspects of a CTES product and/or segment. Develop and execute on the short and medium term strategy for tactical improvements and initiatives to improve business performance. Maintain a strong understanding of competitive dynamics and their impact on the business and strategy; develop, coordinate, and lead special projects to accelerate CTES performance.

May be responsible for one or more specific segment products or a portfolio of segments (Escrow Services, Bond Trustee, Collateral Trust, Liquidity, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • SEGMENT STRATEGY AND EXECUTION: Responsible for developing and executing strategy for your area of responsibility within Corporate Trust and Escrow Services. Expected to be a thought leader in identifying areas for improvement based on client and bank needs, which can include client experience, workflow processes, or systemic improvements. Develop and implement solutions, including best practices for the team, product, and systems. Work with business development to identify new product and revenue opportunities and distribution channels.

  • TRANSACTION MANAGEMENT Lead critical projects to clarify the process, roles, and strategy for new and recurring transaction types. Examples include Paying Agency onboarding and process, RFP best practices, and managing document templates and exception processes/tracking. Act as subject matter expert to identify key questions and solutions between business development and client administration.

  • SEGMENT PROFITABILITY Create opportunities to increase profitability and efficiency through developing, initiating, and maintaining standard fee schedules, SharePoint site content, LOB reports, data analysis, and process clarifications. Responsibilities may include managing liquidity products and relationships with investment managers.

  • COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE Utilize market and industry information to assess market positioning, competitor analysis, and segment opportunities. Maintain a strong understanding of external competitive developments, including digital market evolution, and the impact on our business and strategy. Research and evaluate industry trends, uncovering new opportunities for business growth, market positioning, and product development. Support evaluation of other strategic partnerships that could drive business scale.

  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION Provide leadership, vision, direction for teammates and business partners while working cross-functionally to solve problems, implement changes, and ensure appropriate and professional communication among stakeholders. Act as product/segment subject matter expert for functional bank partners including Legal, Tax, Trust Operations, Wire Governance, Corporate Treasury, Risk management, and others. Guide approval process for new products, enhancements, and vendor relationships.

  • DATA AND REPORTING Identify key productivity metrics and develop/enhance reporting tools for leaders and teammates. Manage product/segment specific reporting and analysis to management, internal committees, and regulators/auditors. Assist LOB leaders with ad-hoc reporting and analytics needs.

  • LEADERSHIP AND TRAINING Mentor, coach, and help educate/train new team members and analysts. Develop and lead on-boarding and training plans for new teammates to become proficient in our business. Create trainings, job aids, and/or educational materials as needed for internal use.

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT Lead multiple large-scale special projects to accelerate CTES strategy and performance. Interface with all areas affected by the project including end users, business stakeholders, support functions and vendors. Ensure adherence to quality standards and established policies and processes. Projects may include evaluation of market expansion, product gaps, refining segmentation, client coverage models, assessing transaction profitability, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive knowledge of corporate trust and agency services, with a minimum of 5-8 years in the corporate trust, reinsurance, or escrow market.

  • Proven ability to drive client impact projects to completion.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to construct informative and persuasive presentations.

  • Innovative and curious mindset. Goal oriented, action-focused, executive level interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.

  • Must be transfer agent compliant in this role including fingerprinting and acceptable background check prior to employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior administration of escrow, corporate trust, and reinsurance collateral trust transactions.

  • Experience and comfort engaging with various levels of management

The base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $110,000.

General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
