The Job You Will Perform:
The Reliability Electrical and Controls Engineer at International Paper’s Riegelwood Mill will be responsible for the safety and reliability of the mill’s electrical and controls equipment. The individual must ensure that all electrical equipment has a proper maintenance strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain strong relationships with APMs &, FLLs to help challenge mill to continuously improve electrical reliability systems and behavior
Assist in advance troubleshooting efforts as needed to support mill operations
Support area MWS teams in the elimination of reliability incidents and the execution of maintenance work, including outages
Maintain documented records of and track key metrics in deliberate improvement projects and results
Optimize the existing equipment care programs
Create or update PM, PdM routes
Review vendor reports on Maintenance service and testing, such as EPD inspections, motor integrity testing, battery system inspections and transformer oil analysis, air quality corrosion reports
Lead refinement of the mill predictive and preventative E&I maintenance program
Champion small capital reliability improvement projects
Develop or refine QA/QC for critical E&I work
RCFA investigation
Find latent causes and eliminate failures
Maintain a list of preventable chronic failures and apply RCFA method to solving them
Control and prioritize the flow of work from notification to work order planning, including the work order backlog
Lead multiple reliability elements, participate in others
Participate in company-wide best practice team calls and conferences
The Skills You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance
Strong electrical aptitude
Experience with industrial motor controls, power distribution, AC and DC motors, power drives, DCS/PLC systems and instrumentation
