Description
If you have accounting experience and want to work with a well-respected Manufacturing firm, Robert Half has an opening for a Senior Accountant. Preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting are among the key responsibilities for this role. This position requires top-notch analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This Senior Accountant role is located in the Berlin, Wisconsin area. Your responsibilities in this role
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Vow to meet business deadlines
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Must have excellent time management skills
Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation
Adeptness in financial reporting
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Month end closings experience desired
Command of account reconciliation
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
ERP system experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
