ILLUMINATION FOUNDATION Authorization Coordinator in Riverside, California

Homelessness is the largest social and public health crisis in California. Illumination Foundation (IF) is a growing non-profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children’s and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.
Job Description
The Authorization Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and keeping up to date on the
authorizations for the Recuperative care and STPH services. This role will need to communicate with
Site Medical Staff, Site Manager, and Case Management, Director of Operations and Director of CalAim.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Responsible for tracking and submitting Authorizations, Reauthorizations in a timely matter to avoid any gaps for the Recuperative Care and STPH services.
Will need to communicate with Medical Coordination Staff, Site Manager, and Case Management
Need to gather all documents necessary to submit Authorization Process
Assist in the Recup/STPH Billing Data Reviews
Communicate in a timely matter when a client is not approved with an extension.
Submission of Re-Authorizations for programs based on client meeting Criteria for extensions.
Assist with Capacity and or Census Reports as needed.

Preferred Experience/Minimum Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 years relevant experience.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to send and receive emails and summarize data in spreadsheets.
Knowledge of Health Insurance Authorization/Reauthorization protocol
Must meet targets, work in high volume of processing documents
Communicate with tact and professionalism
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
Experience working in Kipu or similar EHR/EMR system
Associate degree
Knowledge of county specific Managed Medi-Cal plans
