Oakland University Assistant Director of Clinical Skills Training & Simulation Center in Rochester, Michigan

Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Skills Training, the Assistant Director of Clinical Skills Training will participate in the design, development, operation and assessment of a clinical skills training center for the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. The Assistant Director will participate in the direction of the standardized patient program including managing, coordinating and monitoring educational exercises involving standardized patients. The Assistant Director will also participate in the use of simulation technology in the training and education of medical students and other health care professionals within Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. The Assistant Director will interact with and be involved in the use and assessment of technology ranging from anatomic models and task trainers to high fidelity human simulators. The Assistant Director will also develop proficiency with, and develop applications for the

METI Learning Space system. The Assistant Director will also participate in quality assurance activities and the identification of opportunities for improvement and innovation. The Assistant Director will represent the Clinical Skills Training program at meetings and act in the role of Director of Clinical Skills Training in his/her absence.
