Kelly Services Lab Admin - Facilities/Maintenance Project Manager in Rochester, Minnesota

Bench scientist or laboratory manager looking for a new challenge? Kelly Science is seeking a individual with laboratory experience for a unique administrative/project management position.

Job Details

  • Job Type: direct-hire (permanent), on-site, full-time

  • Location: Rochester, MN.

  • Pay rate: $75k+/year, exact salary will be determined based on relevant experience

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Facility Oversight:
  • Ensure all facility and laboratory systems/equipment are maintained and documented according to established protocols.

  • Coordinate with service contractors to ensure timely servicing and maintenance of facility and laboratory systems.

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities within designated systems.

  1. Equipment Management:
  • Assist in procuring equipment by adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring smooth setup, calibration, and training.

  • Coordinate with service contractors to ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment.

  • Maintain detailed records of equipment service, location, and maintenance.

  • Oversee disposal of obsolete equipment in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.

  1. General Duties:
  • Receive, coordinate, and track work orders from staff and vendors.

  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by entering data and overseeing system administration.

  • Assist in developing and implementing facility-related policies, procedures, and systems.

  • Support evaluation, development, and monitoring of process improvement initiatives.

  • Research new vendors, gather quotes, and provide recommendations.

  • Identify and escalate critical issues to management.

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor assigned projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in laboratory work, scheduling, planning, or coordinating; or

  • Associate’s degree or Technical/Trade school diploma/certificate with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
