Robert Half Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist I (Tier II) in Rochester, New York

Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist I (Tier II) in the financial industry, located in Rochester, New York. This role is centered around the execution of various financial or accounting tasks of moderate complexity, as well as maintaining accurate customer credit records and resolving inquiries in accordance with department policy.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and compliance with controls and policies

• Maintain and update customer credit records in the financial system

• Respond to all inquiries via email, mail, and phone, in line with department policy

• Reconcile and analyze data within the designated group to ensure financial and quality standards

• Generate reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and Sarbanes Oxley

• Participate in monthly team and department meetings for continued technical and self-development

• Contribute to training new employees and cross-training existing ones on daily operational functions

• Review and write department procedures, recommending changes when necessary

• Verify the completeness and consistency of accounting or financial transactions. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Operations, Procedures, and Policy

• Strong understanding of Compliance and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in Supervising teams

• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks

• Knowledge of General Ledger operations

• Proficiency in Research Analysis to Ensure Accuracy

• Capability to handle Financial Transactions in line with Quality Standards

• Experience in ensuring Quality assurance in line with Sarbanes Oxley requirements

• Familiarity with Subledger and other Financial Systems

• Adherence to Department Policy and engagement in Department Meetings

• Expertise in implementing Department Procedures

• Experience with Paychex software

• Ability to manage Data Feeds effectively

• Proficiency in performing various Accounting Functions
