SUMMARY: Orders, restocks and decontaminates sterilization equipment and instruments. Collects dirty equipment and instruments. Sorts, loads, unload and decontaminate equipment and instruments according to procedures and or surgical cases. .

STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Unity Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Sterile Processing
SCHEDULE: Days & Evenings & Nights

Attributes:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
  
• Surgical Scrub Technician course preferred.
  
• Experience in central processing functions.
  
• Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles.
  
• One Year experience working within Material Management or health care setting UTES
  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processes surgical instrumentation and durable medical equipment for reuse including but not limited to; decontamination, inspection, and sterilization.
  
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities. Observes safety measures in performance of job duties and responsibilities; enforces compliance with safety and security policies and procedures.
  
• Maintains records, inventories, use of materials, placement of equipment (including surgical case carts), within each area serviced.
  
• Maintains knowledge to operate all assigned equipment.
  
• Maintains inventory and accurate records.
  

PAY SUMMARY:
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: H - Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires constant walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $18.75 - $25.00
