Description

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a licensed Child Psychiatrist with interest and experience in family-centered behavioral health care. This faculty position is head-quartered in the Department of Psychiatry’s Child and Adolescent Division and will have both clinical and educational responsibilities, with opportunities for research and scholarship in the faculty member’s area of expertise. This full-time position at the University of Rochester Medical Center includes both a faculty appointment with the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry at a rank commensurate with experience and accomplishments and a medical staff appointment at Strong Memorial Hospital.

The Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Division draws inspiration from Frederick Douglass, noted Rochester social reformer, who said, "It’s easier to build strong children than to fix broken men." This is why our faculty and staff are committed to advancing clinical care by applying the biopsychosocial model. We advance knowledge through research, create and implement prevention programs, and train the next generation of mental health providers.

Compensation includes an excellent, nationally competitive salary, annual continuing education stipend, and a generous benefits package through the University.

Senior Instructor: $209,000 - $247,200, Assistant Professor: $217,143 - $270,540, Associate Professor $234,286 - $298,802, Professor $257,143 - $360,701

Qualifications

Must possess an MD or equivalent degree and be ABPN board certified (or board eligible)

Must obtain NYS physician licensure prior to start

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
