Finance Manager - Laboratory Plastics Essentials

How you will make an impact:

Laboratory Plastics Essentials (LPE) is a $700M business within the Laboratory Products Group (LPG), which offers a broad set of differentiated consumable products primarily serving Biotech, Pharma, Healthcare, Diagnostic and Academic markets. LPE is a global business with 4,000 employees, 10 manufacturing sites and numerous distribution hubs, supported by a global finance team. The business has significant exposure to high growth markets and is passionate about providing fit for purpose solutions to our customers.

As a member of the LPE Finance team, the Finance Manager will play a key role partnering with the LHS and LCS businesses to drive profitable growth. This role will drive cross-functional alignment to establish and achieve quarterly and annual performance targets. In addition, you will build and present financial models that offer valuable insights, enabling our leaders to make informed and strategic business decisions.

What you will do:

  • Support reviews of monthly and quarterly results with segment business team leaders, providing insights on financial performance and forecast recommendations

  • Collaborate with sites, and regional finance teams to understand and explain P&L results

  • Continue to innovate and evolve business reporting providing insight to LPE leadership and the BU Segment teams supporting profitable revenue growth

  • Develop and implement financial reporting mechanisms for both individual and consolidated segments, including full P&L reporting, price/margin analytics, and forecasting to help drive margin expansion

  • Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Plan (STRAP) activities, working across business functions (R&D, regional Commercial teams, and Operations) to drive alignment on financial targets

  • Drive the integration of Corporate Data Warehouse reporting and Hyperion Planning 2.0 into the monthly close cadence for BU Finance leads and local manufacturing site teams.

Education:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required

  • An MBA or CPA is a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Accounting or Finance roles with a track record of progression in a multinational matrixed organization

  • An ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in financial analysis and the ability to proactively communicate financial implications of business dynamics

  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment preferred

  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry is desired

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • The successful candidate is personable, highly ethical and thrives in a collaborative environment

  • Has excellent proactive communication capabilities, identifying and addressing issues via candid dialogue

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to perform financial statement analysis.

  • Excellent knowledge of Hyperion (CMR, HFM) or equivalent multidimensional database, sophisticated Microsoft Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis) and PowerBI skills preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience collaborating with global teams to tackle problems, drive accountability, and lead continuous improvement efforts.

  • Proven track record to make assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and highlight performance drivers/trends.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $93,800.00–$130,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
