University of Rochester Nursing Professional Development - Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner is responsible for the needs assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of a number of diverse educational programs and products provided to the Department of Nursing Practice and the URMC Clinical Enterprise. This position will primarily focus on the orientation, onboarding and competency management of clinical staff. The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (NPD) will work collaboratively with members of the orientation team to ensure a comprehensive onboarding program for new staff. The NPD will also participate in other duties as assigned related to competency management, professional development, and other Learning & Development program needs. Requirements : Graduate degree in nursing/related educational field REQUIRED. Two years of relevant experience in education, program planning/teaching recommended. Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in New York State. Basic Life Support Instructor and Certification a plus.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing Education or related field in Nursing required; Or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years RN experience in acute care setting preferred; Recent clinical and educational expertise in specialty area required; RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure with current New York State license upon hire required; Professional nursing certification in specialty area upon hire preferred

Pay Range

Pay Range: $41.00 - $57.40

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
