What We Are Looking For We areseekinga highly motivated business development professional who has proven success defining business opportunities,identifyingand developing new accounts whilemaintainingand servicing existing accounts. Day to Day responsibilities includeleveraging market intelligence to driveand growalong-termsales strategy for Government & Military applications from the 3D Systems portfolio. If you are an accomplished additive manufacturing champion who thrives in a highly innovative, emergent technology environment where youhave the opportunity toown and execute on government & military focused business development deliverables, this is the position for you! */This position is remote ideally in the Virginia/ Maryland area/ What You Will Do * Drive deliveryof sales strategythrough excellent collaborationwithcross functionaldepartments (Segment Leader, AIG, Marketing, Inside Salesand Sales Operations)andutilizationofReseller(s). * Active role in development,implementationand maintenance of Salesforce.com (SFDC) reporting at the corporate level * Develop andmaintainexcellent business relationships with customers and ensure consistent follow-up and support to drive revenue. * Develop strong product knowledge of 3D Systems Application capabilities to present a broad and reasonably deep overview of our offerings  * Maintain excellent knowledge of business’ current/future products and solutions. * Balance and flexibility to manage short cycle sale opportunities with sales team combined with long cycle business development customer opportunities. * Develops new prospects from personal research and company led lead generation activities targeting the markets mentioned above. * Collaborate and coordinate with product development toinitiateand capitalize on new business opportunities. * Familiar with standard concepts, practices,procedures, and regulationswithin thegovernmentandmilitarymarkets. * Familiar with contract negotiation and execution. Comfortable working with legal oversight and engagement on customer agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, quality agreements, supply agreements and services consulting agreements. * Communicate and execute Sales Forecasts and Strategic Sales plans to management. * Identifycurrent and future market requirements by on-going engagements with customers and non-customers and through competitive analysis, secondary research, and other sources (events, seminars). Attending Key Shows/Expo’s& networking events to supportongoing creation of contacts and knowledge to support execution of sales strategy. * Identify,analyzeand pursue potential strategic partnership relationships for the products and solutions that achieve the businessobjectivesfor the 3D Systems in this segment. What You Will Need Education and Training: * Bachelor’s Degree or4-year equivalent degree in Business, Economics, or a technically related field.   Experience: * At least 10 years of total experience in a corporate environment working for a Global Corporation  * At least 5 years working for a manufacturing, engineering, or technology companyin abusiness development rolewith a focus on government & military markets.   Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Self Starter with excellent time management skills * Vertical market experience (Identify, plan, develop and implement strategy) * Strong organizationalandleadershipskillsrequired * Proventrack recordof meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity * Discretion and the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information * Excellent process and problem-solving skills * Out-of-the-box thinker, decisive; experienced in and capable of leading change * An excellent team player * Comfortable working in a matrix environment * Effective communicator * Logical and organized Why 3D Systems?
